RESEARCH: Macbeth and Jacobean England

To fully appreciate Macbeth, we need to make sure we understand the context of the play. This means looking into society at the time Shakespeare was writing and performing in this play, as well as any historical references it might contain. Today we explored a few possible research questions to pursue.

It was interesting to note that some of the questions were able to be answered easily with an internet search, whereas others required a lot more investigation and thought. On Monday we will refine these questions and develop some more that demand more scholarly activity than a simple google search.
